GET TO KNOW....CAROL WARREN

A little about Carol....

Carol is married to Scott (25 years!), and they have two daughters. Erica is 20 and a Junior at Wartburg College, and Sarah is a Senior at Johnston High School.

Carol grew up in Moline, Illinois. She is currently a Vice President with Progress Industries. They are a non-profit organization that assists people with disabilities. Carol is responsible for communications, public relations and fundraising. She's also done every job from waitress to operations administrator. A woman with many skills!

Did you know Carol use to be in another BT group? Yep, that's right. She was originally in the Johnston group, but it is no longer active, so she came right on over to Ankeny and met up with us. Fantastic!!!

Carol is involved with BT so she can get to know others better and also to contribute to the community. She's in the right place, don't ya think!

Carol said the wine tasting and wine glass painting has been the best fun she's had so far! See earlier post to see her and her wine glass.

The craziest thing Carol has ever done…that she's willing to share....once she sang a song in the college dining hall wearing a red girdle on the outside of my jeans. (Too bad she didn't have a BLUE THONG to go along with that outfit!)

Carol's most embarrassing moment is when she had a picture snapped (captured forever) of her and her husband dancing at their wedding reception and it showed Carol doing the leading! It was well before every young couple took ballroom dancing lessons prior to their wedding.

Carol celebrates her birthday each June 2. She usually travels around this time, and wine is involved!

When asked what one thing she would change if she could go back in time, Carol said: "I think I would have gone to law school after my undergrad studies. "

The infamous question...what's been the most amazing moment in your life... Carol says she has two: 1) Listening to the national anthem being played as American athletes received medals at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, and 2) drinking real Champagne overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in Nice, France on our 20th wedding anniversary. She then adds..."A good Mom would also say the birth of her children!"

Carol has many favorite quotes, but this is the one she picked to share...

The road to happiness lies in two simple principles: find what it is that interests you and that you can do well, and when you find it put your whole soul into it - every bit of energy and ambition and natural ability you have. John D. Rockefeller III

Carol's words of wisdom to other women fighting frump is that you are only as old as you let yourself feel. Pretty undergarments do wonders!

A thong to Carol is…. Blue and lacey!
