and check out the pool....but I never saw anyone go in! I thought for a minute the shape was a "blue thong", but nope, it was just blue!
And yet another great first impression...food!!! Nice spread!
Some thongers in the living room chatting before the speaker began.
Dr. Brenton Koch (Cook) was our guest speaker and spoke on "Secrets to a Great First Impression". Brenton is Cathy's brother-in-law.
Yes, a plastic surgeon he is....but he really talked to us about our own beauty.
Brenton talked about the little known "B" spot. He said we see right sides of people's faces when we look at them. Interesting!
Brenton also talked to us about the absolute essentials....to be confident no matter where you are.
As Brenton continued he also talked about our skin, lips and eyes. He pointed out that you get one set of those three things...and joked that there are no refunds or exchanges!
Brenton also talked about how to care for those three...exfoliate....of course there are all kinds of exfoliants out there, but you don't have to spend loads of money, you can spend a little at Target and get exfoliating gloves and some scrub and do a great job on your face at home...don't do it more than two times a week though!
Another important thing to do is to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!!
And of course...he's a plastic surgeon...so he said you can always "get a little help"...from a plastic surgeon!!!
Brenton then showed us some pictures of things he has done to help others feel better about themselves. Here he is showing how he enhanced this woman's cheeks.
One of the things Brenton talked about was how to never take another bad photo. He had all kinds of suggestions....note the last suggestion if you don't get a good photo!
He also talked about what you wear and how you stand.
So we tried it....with Gail....here's her picture when she's sitting and not holding her head right....
And here's when she's standing and holding her body just "so"....
Remember...he said if it doesn't work, get a better photographer....ha, ha, ha...I was laughing too hard to get a good picture...but Gail was a real sport about it!
I believe we all took home little nuggets of information we can use...and of course the gift certificate for a facial was nice too! Thanks Brenton, Cathy and Nocona!
