SEPTEMBER 20TH - FIGHT FRUMPY READING

Hey, Blue Thongers!

For the September Meeting, we'll Fight Frumpy Reading, help others, and have fun making a take-home project!

Date: Monday, September 20th (sorry - the first Monday of the month is Labor Day, and the following Monday doesn't work...)

Time: 6:15 p.m. (if ordering dinner, please arrive/order between 6 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.)

Place: Old Chicago Restaurant (back meeting room)

Meeting Theme: Share the Fun of Reading!

Instructions: Please bring....
(1) A book you would like to exchange with another BT gal fora Book Exchange/Donation
(all members who bring a book will be invited to swap it/take another one....and if there are books left over, they will be donated to a group that collects books at DMACC --through a collection bin outside the DMACC Ankeny Campus Library--to distribute to schools in developing countries that teach English/reading of English)

(2) Any children's book suitable for preschool-aged children, gently used or new, that you would be willing to donate to Kim Puetz's Ankeny Head Start program, which is always in need of books!

(3) Your all-time *favorite* book (or one of them...) for an informal 'show and tell'--help your fellow BTers Fight Frumpy Reading! :)

(4) Your crafting skills (or willingness to have some fun making a take-home, reading-related item with a Blue Thong theme!)

No RSVP is required; however, the group has some additional business to discuss during this meeting, so we hoe that as many BT gals can attend as possible (see blog entry just before this one).
